Challenge.
How to create event buzz and drive online sales at once?
Guinness Switzerland had two distinct goals for St.Patrick’s Day 2022 - drive awareness for the event and pushing online sales for them and their retailers around it.
As Guinness is a niche brand in the Swiss market it needs to capitalize on a few tentpole events like St.Patrick’s Day, Six Nations or other sporting events that they can make uniquely their own and leverage to push their brand and product message.
Approach.
For Guinness we leveraged our Shoppable microsite product to drive both traffic to their selected retailers and to sponsored live events the brand was hosting. Based on user location and language, different versions of the ad and associated microsite were served to drive people to the most relevant retailer or a St.Patrick’s Day event closest to them.
