Classic targeting options within social media offer only limited insights into the real purchase behavior of users. The lack of information about which people actually buy ice cream translates into low audience accuracy and hence decreased advertising efficiency.

Approach.

Targeting clusters were build on actual purchase behavior in the following categories:

+ Buyers of Magnum products

+ Ice cream buyers of competitor products

+ Buyers of other frozen products

People who have viewed / purchased products in these categories in the past 180 days are then targeted with an Magnum Ad.
